A special Gundam Jet began flying in Japan on March 3. The plane is part of a project by Japan Airlines and Bandai Namco to promote Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka from April 13 to October 13. The outside of the plane shows a Gundam robot and the Expo’s official character, Myaku-Myaku.

The Gundam Jet will fly on domestic routes in Japan until November. Its first flight was from Tokyo to Tokushima. While the full schedule is not public, the plane is expected to fly many routes to and from Osaka during the Expo. The Gundam image on the plane is based on a life-size model that will be shown at the Expo.

Passengers who buy a special travel package that includes a flight and hotel in Osaka can get a limited Gundam model kit. Also, people using the in-flight Wi-Fi on domestic flights during the Expo may be able to buy a Gundam model in a unique color, but supplies are limited.
