簡単英語ニュース - Study Finds Woman Who Lived to 117 Had ‘Younger’ Cells
117歳まで生きた女性の細胞は「若かった」と研究で判明
A study has found that a woman who lived to 117 had genes that kept her cells feeling younger. Maria Branyas Morera, who was born in the United States but lived in Spain, had a microbiome like a baby. Her DNA helped her body stay healthy.
Scientists also found that Branyas made healthy lifestyle choices. She ate a Mediterranean diet, avoided smoking, and spent time with loved ones. This helped her stay well in old age.
Branyas became the oldest person in the world in 2023. She said her long life was because of “luck and good genetics.” She passed away in 2024 at the age of 117.
